Battle of the Will in Ruins

TRIGGER WARNING:

SELF-HARM

The blinding silver starts the pain
You see the tears and think they’re rain
And hear the voices call your name
In your head it’s just not the same

You see the night and feel the cold
You hear the day it seems so old
You mark the story you left untold
The only time you’ve been so bold

The hour unfolds a futile fight
Beneath the smile concerning what’s right
And misery you take in clouding your sight
Before you finally turn out the light
